In the State of the European Union 2016 President Jean-Claude Juncker announced the intention to to set up a European Solidarity Corps before the end of the year.
The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
Young people across the EU will be able to volunteer their help where it is needed most, to respond to crisis situations. This video promotes the European Solidarity Corps and gives information about registration.
