The Flaming Lips

God Will Control the Werewolves

 PLAY

The first song from The Teardrop Throbs, the Flaming Lips’ first album in more than six years and their first for Third Man Records, out 22 January 2027. Wayne Coyne found it in a game of hide-and-seek with his sons in a park at dusk, under a full moon: when one of them asked if werewolves might find them, he said God would hold them back for a while. Rousseau painted the same mercy: a lion in the moonlight that lets the sleeper be.
