Tired of standing in line? Then say hello to the self-driving chair. Nissan, the automaker, has come up with the ProPILOT Chair which is designed to autonomously move customers through a line as they sit and wait. The autonomous chair uses the same technology as Nissan’s self-driving cars. Nissan says the chair can automatically follow the chair ahead of it, maintaining a fixed distance and travelling along a set path.
The automaker is rolling out the self-driving chairs for real-world testing at select restaurants around Japan.
