🔚 The last track om an album is always special. It’s the finale of a complete work. But it can also be an opening to the next. Or an invitation to start over. Or to embrace silence. Picking the opening and the closing track is important, and especially the opening as it sets the tone for the album. But the final song has a special mission. The are many hidden gems there and this blog series intends to put more focus om the art of the last track.
‘Bringing Down The Light’ is from the 1993 LP ‘The First Day’ by vocalist and multiinstrumentslist David Sylvian & guitarist and Frippertronics inventor Robert Fripp. It’s actually a King Crimson album camouflaged as a duo collaboration.
